Huh, how do we not have one of these in here, it's such a popular game. XD Ah well, better late than never as they always say~ That question is a tough one though. If I were to go with my childhood favorite, I'd have to saw Dewgong, but I have a really big soft spot for Mudkip, Azurill and Spheal. ...I'm just a really big water type junky really. XD

I'm a huge fan of all the Eevee evolutions, especially Jolteon! Ninetales is also pretty awesome

I remember playing this with 3 of my friends in middle school during break and some assholes would keep trying to unplug the link cable.
Started the Leaf Green remake on GBA recently, using Bulba cuz Bulba is my fav starter but Bulba doesn't seem as fun as it used to. Shoulda chosen Squirtle cuz I've never chosen that as a starter
I played the original Red a lot. I remember I wanted to start with Charmander, but my bro started the game and was about 1.5 hours in with Bulba and I was like "whatever I'll use Bulba." Probably a good thing, the early game could be pretty tough with Char without prior knowledge of the game (get Pika for Misty, get Butterfree/Mankey for Brock, how would I know that without already having previous experience with the game?). I caught as many as possible off of one cartridge, and traded with my game sharking friends to complete the pokedex
I played Silver, Yellow, (Ruby/Saph don't remember which), and Diamond once through, didn't play it as much as the original. My fav would probably be Flareon (if not then Jigglypuff, Starmie or Kadabra). My fav Gen 2 or later would be Manectric, Girafarig, and some psychic that looked like an ice cream cone.
Show-wise, I watched a bit past Indigo League. I think it was Orange League where they did random challenges that weren't battles, like having Squirtle watergunning soda cans or something. Though I did watch a crap load of the movies, I think I watched 7 or 8 of them. Mewtwo strikes back was the best, but the one with Entei was pretty cool
I know there's a competitive scene, but I never bothered to follow it and don't know anything about competitive strategy or lingo. I just know that "sweeper" is a term for... something I dunno. I just play casually and base most of my party decisions on looks (though the amount I played in middle school I think is slightly beyond casual...)

My all-time favourite would have to be Espeon! But after that, hmm... I've always been partial to Altaria from Gen 3, and recently Froslass from Gen 4. Cyndaquil is probably my favourite starter, but Blaziken is probably my favourite final evolution of a starter.
The games I've played through entirely... Red (several times), Silver, Crystal (several times), Sapphire, FireREd, Pearl (almost entirely, but not quite), Platinum, and I'm almost done HeartGold. I've played Yellow, Ruby and Emerald but never to completion.

My favorite Pokemon sometimes don't match up with the Pokemon I'd actually use in a team. I'm one of those EV-training competitive-battling types. Haha. But my favorite Pokemon are, if I had to just select a few: Snorunt, Torkoal, Hitmontop, Gastrodon, Milotic, Krookodile, Munna. Now, I wouldn't consider using any of these besides Milotic (which is part of my primary team), Krookodile (because of its amazing Attack state and its Moxie ability), and Gastrodon potentially for its Storm Drain ability, immunity to electric attacks, and its walling capabilities with Recover. Aside from their battling prowess, I have course judge Pokemon on their overall design and I just love these guys! I tend to like creative Pokemon, but one's that don't seem to come from no where--rather, ones that expand upon the animal from the real world they are trying to represent (such as Krookodile). The Vanilluxe is a big WTF to me, and I can't reconcile my differences with Chandelure despite it having high special attack (the ghost-fire typing is dangerous). Golurk is odd-looking in terms of Pokemon, and Haxorus, despite me loving it now for its godly Attack stat, always looked more like a Digimon to me. I understand its relation to dinosaurs, however. Gen 4 and 5 were weird for me overall, with gen 3 being my favorite Pokemon expansion. No offense to the Eeveelutions either, but I hate Leafeon and Glaceon both in their design and in the way they evolve from Eevee. Like, really? Location should never have affected evolution! Blahhhh! I'm done my rant. Sorry if I offended anyone! I just get passionate sometimes about Pokemon...and of course Nana XD

EV Training sounds so very intense. It takes so much time, patience and research when it comes to training Pokemon in it, so I really admire anyone who is up for the challenge. @___@ I had taken it into consideration in my most recent Diamond play through, but I wasn't able to stick with it.
I didn't mention which games I've played, so I guess I'll do that now~ I've pretty much played everything except Black, White and the console games after Pokemon Stadium 2, not counting Pokemon XD, I loved that gave to bits.
My favorite gym leader, for no reason beyond nostalgia and an imagined friendship with her, is Winona from Third gen. It maybe seem like a strange place, but Fortree was one of my favorite towns in that game...

Singy: I LOVED Fortree. My secret base was in the bush just to the east of it! Although, that gym was so difficult during my first play through of Ruby... My favorite gym leader is Jasmine from Johto! Steel Pokemon were new and cool, and the fact that she cared so much about her Ampharos touched my heart. Running into her in gen. 4 made me so happy!

^ Same! Jasmine will always be my favourite. I've always had fond memories of Olivine and the whole Lighthouse quest Secret Bases in 3rd gen were SO MUCH FUN. Not so much in 4th gen, though.

Third gen really did have the best bases, not to mention the most interesting locations for them. The one's in forth gen had some interesting items, but the sense of your 'home' didn't really exist when all the bases were in a cave Underground. In S/R/E the possibilities felt endless. *___* hot0rikun967: Yours was to the east? =D I always settled down in the tree right by the source of the waterfall north of there. In Grade 6 I imagined that I had my own little ranch up there, complete with berry trees in all. It was paradise~ Though speaking of caring gym leaders, how many here played the remake of Pokemon Silver and Gold? The original scene with Jasmine and her Ampharos was touching, but I loved how it looked at the top of the new lighthouse.
