Yikes. Please tell me this isn't the main PV.
They said they got a sea shot in that one blog post I think...so maybe they'll show that in the full PV? It looks like it's raining in the PV so it seems to be the same one they were talking about in the blog post. Regardless, it's an embarrassing waste of time to watch Nana lip-sync near a window.
The song is OK, but way below expectations. I feel like the song veers into generic mainstream territory with that uninspired melody. That's a cardinal sin for me! There are a few things that might save this from getting an automatic skip when the album comes out, in particular the arrangement, build-up as the song progresses, and Nana's vocals. But when you compare it to past PV songs, like Super Man, Appassionato, Lovely Fruit, Orchestral Fantasia, the song as a whole falls flat and seems devoid of personality.
It's a shame. A strong PV could've made this song more memorable, but instead we are handed something even more boring and uninspired than the song itself. Perhaps this is the opposite case, where the really boring PV is bringing down the experience of listening to this song for me. I don't think so, since Nana's PV's tend to be a miss for me while the songs are hits. It's also a shame because ヨシダタクミ and 藤間仁 are responsible for this. After two fantastic compositions, I was expecting this to be the standout song of the album.
I'll give the song a 6/10 and the PV 1/10 (since Nana looks beautiful as always) for now. Maybe my opinion will change when the album comes out!
And, there's still dozens of other new songs for me to look forward to!

I agree with some of the things you've said stranger , but on a few things I want to give my own take on! This PV is very diffirent from her others, and yes, I can see how it's quite boring. It's basically just a one shot video of her lip syncing, true. I hope this won't be the only thing we'll be seeing in the full clip... because if it that's the case then... meh. Hope the camera will slowly zoom out and show the sea shore, etc. Musical wise I must disagree with you as I personally can already rate this song up there next to her other proper ballads like Hime Murasaki (This one is the black sheep, as it's the only one that's rock-ish), Hoshizora No Tsuki To Hanabi No Shita, STAR ROAD, Ai No Hoshi and Rensou Hanabi. I already know I'll love the lyrics, sounds like it will be very pretty. I hope we can all agree that this song is at least better than the last three generic ballads, aka. Yakusoku, FATE, Koiuta. But I just can't compare it to her other PV's like the ones you mentioned above. I would compare this one to Eden's PV if I had to, and Eden would get my vote if we'd had to pick a favorite between the two for obvious reasons. What I must say is that the PV isn't lacking character, I mean you can't do too much to make a ballad more 'spicy' but at least give us diffirent views, or let Nana do something while she's singing. She can still look at us sometimes to still have that connection. I get vibes of Mamoru Miyano's FRONTIER and passage, PV (FRONTIER: here, passage,: here) when I watch this PV. What these PV's are doing right though is showing more action. FRONTIER is one take while it zooms in and out, which works. Mamo at least walks and moves, so that's that. passage, shows him doing all daily things and relatable stuff, which works as well. If Zettaiteki Kofukuron was something like passage, in which we could, like, see Nana recording the song in a studio, then leaving the studio and going home, walking through the rain, dry herself off with a towel when she gets home and then play with Keitan or something, or do something else like reading, playing a game, whatever. That would've made this PV way better. There's no action from what we can judge by this short version PV. But somehow I also think this not having any action has it's charm...? Maybe the lyrics are (meant to be) very deep and aimed towards us, her fans, so she wants to convey them properly by being 'eye-to-eye' with us? I don't even know. Oh well. Let's just hope the full PV has some zoom outs... Song would be a 7/10 for me now. The PV a... 5/10? It's not bad but not good either. I expected something very simple, so I'm not too surprised or anything. I didn't expect this one to be a stand out of the album as well, right when it was updated it would be the ending track of the album. Let's be glad Ai No Hoshi didn't win that special PV contest (The one in which Pray won), because it would've probably been simular to this... Yup, we still have 11 more songs to look forward to! (I'm not including STARTING NOW! as we've all heard it, UNLIMITED BEAT as we've all heard the preview, STAND UP! as I've already heard it fully and now Zettaiteki Short Ver.) And I'm sure there will at least be a few gems! Hope there will be something for everyone! EDIT: Also, forgot to say this but I'll really hope that Team Mizuki will just wait two years now before they release another studio album. Just put out THE MUSEUM III next year and add her singles for that year (Probably another Symphogear single + Nanoha 3rd Movie Reflection single) so that she can breathe again. That way they'll be able to come up with new ideas as well and it will hopefully result in something just as good as ROCKBOUND NEIGHBORS.

Gave in and listened to this. If 2:44 is "short", I wonder how long the entire song is... I actually quite like the song though, its just sweet. I haven't listened to Nana in a while though, so I guess im kind of falling in love with her voice again.

Seems like the song's full playtime is 4:38! Listened to the full radio rip that aired today on Smile Gang. It's the last song I will be listening to from now on. I've had UNLIMITED BEAT (not fully), and now STAND UP! and Zettaiteki (complete version), so I will be able to hold on for now. I will be busy in the next two weeks as well so time will most likely fly by! With that being said, I honestly am in love Zettaiteki Kofukuron. Wouldn't say I was in tears but I did tear up while hearing the full version. The ending part is so full of emotion in my opinion. It's just so cute, and heartfelt. The lyrics are like wedding vows (LOL). Is Nana trying to say she's found a partner...? I hope the full version will change your mind on the song, Stranger!

That PV song leaves no impression whatsoever, its too much of a Ai no Hoshi knockoff. But at least they saved money with the PV. :b
That bit of Please download, are her vocals really electronically altered throughout the song? Sounds terrible, just like any other singer abusing pro tools these days. i thought Nana would be above this whole bull, but alas...

I must disagree on Zettaiteki Kofukuron leaving no impression. First time I heard it I was perplexed by her beautiful vocals once again after a long time, and I noticed the kindness and honesty in the lyrics. Her latest ballads, without counting BLUE because that one was great, Yakusoku, FATE, Necessary, Koiuta. (Even though I personally like Koiuta.) have been quite on the meh-ish side. Not to big of an impression or none at all, yet with this one she impressed me again finally. I'd say the only thing simular to Ai No Hoshi would be it being a ballad... and its close to being just as good, teehee. But I must agree with your opinion on Please Download... I was super excited for that track and the music is probably good... but the electronically altered Nana vocals are quite cringe... I mean as the title suggests a digital setting it might have been altered to fit the theme... but I wouldn't say it's a good decision. We can all agree this song would be way better without the vocal editing. But I'll probably let it slide again like the loyal Nana fan that I am.

I told myself I wouldn't listen to anything, but watched this (just for Stand Up/Please Download) and I actually really like how Please Download sounds the most of the 4 tracks ive heard a little of (Standing up in full, some of Zettaiteki, Stand Up, and Please Download) Ah, the power of differing opinions.

I'm actually glad that Please Download is enjoyed by you sevenpetals ! I'm sure it will grow on me as well, but it just always puts me off when they digitally edit her voice. I hated STARTING NOW! for the 'megaphone' edit parts (STARTING NOW! and JUMPING UP!) but now I really like it and feels like it adds something unique to the song. And as I was saying, with the digitally edited voice, they do indeed keep the digital theme so it's a plus but at the same time a min point as of now? I'll get used to it, is what I'm saying. And then I'll totally love the song. <3

Unfortunately, after watching the live, I still keep my opinion on Zettaiteki Kofukuron. It's in FATE/Koi Uta/Yakusoku territory for me, definitely. You can find a dozen of songs just like this in mainstream J-pop, I feel like, so it's fairly unmemorable and uninspired (talking mostly about the composition itself). Just my opinion, anyways.
Please Download...doesn't sound too promising, but I could barely hear it. All the rest sound good. I can't judge really until the album comes out (not that far away!).
Anyways, thanks amelala for sharing!
