Well, it seems like we have at least a few Kuu fans here, so how about a thread for us to discuss her in? ;D Recent things to discuss: - Marriage to KENJI03 of BACK-ON
- 10th Album, JAPONESQUE, Released Jan. 25th
- Dejavu Tour DVD & Bluray, Released Feb. 8th

figdfgfdjg I don't know where to start.
FIRSTLY KUU BABY AND MARRIAGE. So happy for her, she's wanted to be in love and have a family for so long. ♥
Really impressed with JAPONESQUE so far. I don't think it's her best (Second Session is too perfect) but it's a massive step up from Kingdom/TRICK/UNIVERSE/Dejavu. I'm not a huge fan of Kingdom, seems to be a fan favourite though?
Surprisingly, I quite like the ballads on JAPONESQUE so far. I never like her ballads, not even Suki de, suki de, suki de. =p

I've honestly never liked Kingdom It's got some of the most underwhelming tracks in her career, I really don't get the love for it at all. I loved TRICK when it first came out, but honestly don't listen to it that much anymore, and pretty much none of the album tracks except show girl (since watching FANTASIA) and Ai no Kotoba (since she's been performing that a ton lately). UNIVERSE is one of my faves <3 I just finished listening to the whole thing again actually xD I really love it. Dejavu was a step down, but far from her worst, I still quite liked it. It definitely felt lacking... but I still thought it was pretty solid. Though, I always wait to watch the tour that accompanies the album, cause they tend to influence me pretty heavily, and I still haven't seen Dejavu tour, so who knows xD JAPONESQUE seems like it's shaping up to be really good so far. Haven't heard any previews or seen any PVs/PV previews since this'll be my first Kuu album I'm buying since TRICK. I'm looking forward to the novelty of being able to watch the entire album! 17 PVs, baby.

Kingdom has BUT, which is like a lesser TABOO and I love Aisho, but that's about it. I still listen to TABOO, Show Girl and Driving a lot, but not like how I overplayed that album when it came out. I can't think of anything from UNIVERSE that I still play =( Dejavu had Lollipop, which I loved.
JAPONESQUE is pretty good. No Man's Land is easily the best track, it's so so good. All the sexy songs are good too. The rest (ballads and cute stuff) is just average Kuu filler lol

I just listened to JAPONESQUE yesterday and I really liked it. I only listened to Dejavu once, not a lot of the tracks stood out to me like her other albums. TRICK is definitely my favourite Kuu album along with UNIVERSE.
From JAPONESQUE I liked Slow, IN THE AIR, ESCALATE, No Man's Land, KO-SO-KO-SO and Lay Down.

I forgot about Slow in all my stanning for No Man's Land. I liked Slow, I always like her ballads like this. I'll probably just end up going back to No Way though. ;^^
On another listen, I really like So Nice too. =D
I wish Say Her Name was on the album ;__;

Say Her Name is love <3 If Slow is anything like No Way, I'm sure I'll love it. That song is one of my fave Kuu songs of all time, without a doubt.
So Nice is probably the track I'm looking forward to most (though keep in mind this is without hearing or watching any previews, so I'm really just going off the pictures + the Mr. Blistah collaboration xD). I love love love when Kuu dabbles in traditional Japanese stuff like that.

Ahggfjeghjhglh finally got JAPONESQUE and listened to it. I love it to pieces, but that just might be the Kuu-phoria kicking in, so I'll likely have a much more concrete and objective opinion in... maybe a few months time? :XD We'll see. But so far, my favourite tracks are So Nice, Boom Boom Boys, :love Love Technique :love, No Mans Land, and Slow. Ahh and All for you. Kind of underwhelmed by the dance tracks in this album though, especially Lay down My favourite would be Boom Boom Boys, but according to Kuu that's not even considered a dance song...? Love Technique is my most played song so far, I love it to bits. It reminds me of Birthday Eve (my very first Kuu song) mixed with Star (one of my all-time Kuu faves), so... yeah, it's just so much win.
