Nana's Extensive List of Character Songs and Co.

So as I am here standing as a living breathing nana-fan on her birthday, I was hoping we could start a list or find resources of ALL of her character songs, insert songs, basically any extra music that does not make it to her official discography...

On the "Choose between 2 songs" thread MANY people have named such great character songs and what not by Nana i hadnt heard of most of them! Illusion Garden, Heaven in the Hell, Eternal Diva, Powder Snow, etc etc.



I'll come back with a long list later (going to go out for a little) and maybe we can just add to it so that all sometimes clue-less Nana fans can find new music by our goddess, or see other sides of her.

This is a great idea! Nana has soooo many songs from her anime stuff, it's like a whole new discography. I, myself, hadn't heard Illusion Garden until you just mentioned it, and I'm loving it already.

Great and a very ambitious idea! Some Tv-series haven't even OSTs, so you need to watch whole series to know that Nana sang there: for example Aoi Bungaku - there are 3 small songs of her character (Akiko), but there is no any anime OSTs or chara-singles.

Umm. So as I was looking for character songs of Nana's on the internet, I came across this one...if it's even a character song. I have no idea what it's from, but here's the link to it. If anyone could identify where it's from that would be awesome because right now it's just a floating piece of awesome because it includes Kugimiya Rie...

The song's called "Shalala - Watashi ni Kureta Mono" and the collaborating singers are Nana, Kugimiya-chan, Fukuen Misato, and Chiba Saeko. This is all I know.

...Ok so I've narrowed it down to Rosario to Vampire, but it's not on any OST I can find. Unless this was given away on, like, the DVDs for the series or something, where did this come from?? o.o

I think we should compile a masterlist, if somebody takes b-sides, somebody takes character songs from 1998-2006 and somebody else 07-14? Could break that into three blocks even. Then somebody else can do 'other'... so things that don't fall into any of those categories, from soundtracks etc... (e.g. like how there's four version of Justice to Believe, single vs. album and two on a soundtrack, which I wouldn't consider character song personally).

I'm currently on a mission to find all her most obscure character songs, and I can easily do B-sides since I own all her singles. I actually had no idea that there were four versions of Justice to Believe though o.o Are they just slight variations to the original (besides museum style)?

Hey all. I'm still scouring the internet for character songs and other Nana mp3 goodies. I'm now up to 156 songs outside of her major discography, and I do hope to share them all with you once I've found the songs I'm missing. I'm looking for everything Nana has a vocal credit in with lyrics, so her stuff with SISTER PRINCESS and Prits are included in that 164. Once I'm done finding everything I'll type up a master list of all of her vocal credits and find a way to compact and upload the files to you all if you want them. Nothing I've found has been of poor quality, but some of them are only decent because of their age and, well, rarity. It's hard to find these because people just don't have those old CD's. Anyway, more updates to come.

One is just cut shorter for the opening, so it only half counts, but it's there on the OST for the game (JtB ~the beginning~ I think?). The other is called 'ground zero version' and it's like the MUSEUM version but without the orchestra. It's basically the single's arrangement at 6minutes with the with the weird guy part in it. It's like a halfway between the single and MUSEUM version. It's kind of an odd one. I wish it were JtB with the orchestra without the added part in the middle though haha

And that character song list is amazing, I have no idea what I do and don't have in terms of character songs so it's really helpful. I'm a bit over the top about these things though and if the original character song is a different arrangement to something on her single/album... I need both. D: Hence why I've never properly got into her character songs, too much work haha
