In the words of my niece, "Jack is Lego Indiana Jones" lol
WA1 is so old school and dramatic in a way only PS1 games can be, it has a silent protagonist too! I kinda wanna play the remake... but kind of don't at the same time haha WA3 is my favourite though. ♥
I want a Wild Arms 6, just for potential MORE NANA! I think she's a bit out of their budget now though, WA5 was an anniversary game. :S

If i remember correctly, Etsuraku Camellia was about her "abusive" singing coach or w.e u called an enka trainer X_X Everytime i understand the symbolism behind a nana song it makes me wanna replay it for hours on end ( maybe not literally..) with new found understanding Lyrically favorite songs whether by nana or written for her... idk i totally love Synchrogazer's lyrics right now. We were always running away, seeming to lose sight of tomorrow So that we wonft hurt, so that we donft get hurt The lies accumulate Sounds so... idk almost tragic to me... That and the lyrics to Phantom Minds as mentioned before just get me everytime. All the lyrics she writes are great tho, and they fit w.e occasion be it an anime or commercial or w.e, its like she fully understands the storyline way beyond what the anime says in mere words she gets down into the root of the show or w.e it is for... and i love it <3

^ Etsuraku will always be one of my personal favourites, and even though its inspiration came from such an unfortunate source, the fact that it does tap into some of Nana's personal pain makes it a lot more meaningful. And yeah, I'm totally the same when it comes to listening to songs more once understanding them Because prediction is impossible; I feel good Listen, it’s not general knowledge, no, no There is no road of reason; up and down Set off before you start to hesitate It’s time to dream the best dream Let’s break it right now
"If you keep on trying the glory day will come Set the level a little high so you can create your image I can stop the unyielding rain to show a colorful sky"Can we just take a moment to appreciate HIGH-STEPPER? :love I'm crazy about that song. This particular bit of lyrics, too, aren't as epic and symbolic and amazing as some of her other parts but they just... fit the song so well :3. Somehow they totally capture the energy and vibe of the song and yeah. Such a good soooonggg!!

I've never heard that about Etsuraku ;__; That's really sad, especially as it's such a passionate song.

The thing I like the most in Nana's (both her own and written for her since it usually fits) lyrics is symbolism. It's rare for pop songs to have such misty and symbolic lyrics usually it's way closer to real life and sounds trivial like "I loved him but he ditched me, what a moron la-la-la". But her songs are different. You know, I think every consumer of art be it listener, reader or watcher is also a creator more or less depending on form of art. Some like to think "what author was thinking while creating it? What did he want to say? Am I understanding it right?". I do not ask these questions. Why should I? Author wrote what I read and sang what I heard. His creation doesn't belong to him alone anymore, I'm also a part of it once I created my own understanding. So I see every piece of art like bones and every person who touch it adding meat to them - it's fitting analogy since bones look the same just like say, every copy of a book has the same letters, but actual people look very different just like impressions that book made on readers. So having said that, different creations leave different spaces for imagination and Nana's lyrics being based on foggy symbols instead of concrete situations can be interpreted in so many different ways which is great. Will there be interpretations she would've never even thought about? Of course there will, but it's a plus in my book. As for concrete songs... Well last time I though about lyrics was when Massive Wonders made it to Museum to my satisfaction. I always thought that song was somehow underrated so was happy to see it got proper recognition. I heard this song quite long ago and first thing that catch my eye was the title. The first association with the word "massive" comes to my mind is "massive bombings" so I liked how phrase "massive wonders" sounded like, then started thinking just how much load did those wonders carry and so on Needless to say I developed rather aggressive image of this song ;D I stumbled upon lyrics translation much later searching for some other song and somehow my image of it didn't change. What is this song about? Even knowing it's from Nanoha it's hard to say. But I don't really care what it was intended to be about. For me it's about two enemies. Many bodies lies along the roads they they took to come here. Where? When? It doesn't matter for the only thing each of them see is the eyes of another and time itself lost its meaning long before they met. But it's still ticking for the Moon watching them from above. It knows everything will end this night and only one road will emerge from this junction... But we'll leave them a moment before the first muscle moves - give them at least a second of privacy - that should be enough... Hm... One more thing I like is it's not that rare to find theme of death in her songs. Sometimes it's obvious, sometimes just a glimpse but it's there. And it's good. There's nothing to fear about death and it isn't scary in her songs. It's just there as it is in our life. Staying here I remember Next Arcadia. Like it a lot. What's this one about? Love. There are many songs about love but this one is different somehow. For me it's not about love of one person to another, it's about love itself. A feeling. The one which is eternal. Like a shooting star it flies through universe warming people for generations... Or is it? Shooting star is just a rock and it's warmed itself by friction. No, it's not a shooting star, it's a normal star and it's people themselves who feed it with their feelings, they are not outside - they are burning inside, either disappearing completely or falling out as depleted broken shells. But Love doesn't care. It simple can't - it has no emotions. It only grants a feeling for everyone who is willing to step into the fire. And no matter how many was burned new will come because it's worth it. So what will you do next time? Will you be able to step aside?

Has anyone mentioned Shin Ai yet? If we are to discuss the deepness of the lyrics, this song is the winner by far. Nana wrote it after returning from her father's funeral and put all of her feelings for her father, which she hadn't been able to convey to him, in it.

Well, everyone knows it, but I still can't bring myself to like Shin Ai =\ And without a story behind it lyrics are pretty standard.
