Tis' as the name suggests, let us discuss the beauty, intricacy and symbolism behind the songs of the one, Miss Nana Mizuki. We can start anywhere you like, so first come, first talk, first to interpret~

Oh-ho, nice topic. I always find Nana's lyrics to be very well written and emotional.
Like Love Brick's lyric for example. It has the cutest lyric of her songs so far, imo. With such a tsundere-love touch to it, and the use of 'atashi' no less. But then again, SAYURI and Hinata Megumi writing along with her, I'm not surprised xD If it was only her, she'd use 'boku' there prolly.
LB's a great transition between 2 techno songs in the Synchrogazer single.

Nana's one of my favourite lyricists, as well as the people she works with. Whatever team she has there are capable of amazing, amazing works. It feels like I'm reading classical poetry half the time xD
On the topic of Love Brick, the lyrics really amused me. They're... one of the few exceptions to the 'classical poetry' comparison I just made, actually, lol. But yeah, they are really cute and tsundere-ish, and I'm glad Nana has some cute, silly lyrics from time to time.
Synchrogazer and Risouron were also really great, lyrically. I love the whole Idealism theme in Risouron and Synchrogazer just has some epic lines. I posted all the translations in the Synchrogazer thread in Official Nana News if anyone needs to look.

Is this only about Nana's self written lyrics?...because I also love Hibiki's lyrics like Orchestral Fantasia and Crystal letter.
On the other hand, I really love Nana's lyrics for Shin ai...it was the song that put her into my radar because of the wonderful lyrics. I remember the boring op visuals in White Album so I just read the translation of the song then I found out the lyrics is sooo beautiful.
I can at least say that she is a good lyricist...especially when given a concept to write about like for example Innocent starter and Dancing in the Velvet Moon. XD

I think it should be about any of Nana's lyrics but that's Singy's call I guess ^^ but she did say not long ago that even when written by someone else she always plays a part in their production so i think it's safe to assume most of the lyrics are Nana's ideas and emotions.

Ah, maybe I should have been a bit more general, sorry about that ^^;. You can discuss the lyrics of any of her songs, self-written or otherwise~ As Unchain Knight said, she is involved in the creative process in some way usually, so any of her songs are fair game.
As for lyrics, I was beyond amused by the lyrics for Love Brick, the song is energetic and happy, to be sure, but lip gloss eyeliner I wouldn't have pictured being in the lyrics. xD Nana uses an astounding amount of imagery in her lyrics and nearly every time I read them I feel the need to create a story based off them.

Hmm I'm wondering what a Love Brick centered story would be like ;D Indulge us?
Synchrogazer has outstanding lyrics. My favorite lines:
We were always running away, seeming to lose sight of tomorrow So that we won’t hurt, so that we don’t get hurt The lies accumulate

Nerdy fangirling here, but she did SUCH a good job with the lyrics for Justice to Believe!! I guess it helps that Nana also voiced the character. The way JtB and Crystal Letter suit the game protagonists to a tee was really impressive!
"I want to reach you. I will cross over time “Our story is at its ending but it will bloom fully in the infinite future” I send a letter to you, for a new beginning" ;__;
On a non-fangirling note... Shin Ai has truly beautiful lyrics. So much love, warmth and tenderness.
I also come with the obligatory droool over the sexiness of Etsuraku Camellia's lyrics. So ambiguous and mysterious~ Nana giving us a taste of her darker side ♥

JtB and Crystal Letter were for what game again? Wild Arms I think? I really want to play it, actually.
This is honestly such a hard thread to post to because there are countless Nana lyrics that I absolutely adore. Etsuraku is definitely up there, as well as JunPara, especially this part:
sdhgdkrjejgtlert. The beauty of it makes my brain melt. So powerful and beautiful, I really can't get over it.

So ambiguous and mysterious~ Nana giving us a taste of her darker side ♥ Etsuraku Camellia's lyric was particularly dark, sinfully sultry and amazingly fresh in between Nana's wide variant of songs. It reminds me so much of old Japanese poetry. It shows Nana's M side too tho xD

JtB and Crystal Letter were for what game again? Wild Arms I think? I really want to play it, actually. Yup, Wild Arms 5. Ermm... I don't really recommend 5, 1,2 & 3 are all fantastic... 4 & 5.... not so much. JtB is from the perspective of Nana's character, Rebecca (who is kind of the narrator), and Crystal Letter is for the other female protagonist.

Since I like Nanoha, I love PHANTOM MINDS's lyric. Nana wrote it from Fate's perspective and she did that before with Innocent Starter as well. Heartfelt songs those two are.

IS was done from Fate's p.o.v.? I thought that song was made before it was used in Nanoha? Still pretty cool that Nana takes the time to write them like that. PHANTOM MINDS is a great song lyric-wise.

PHANTOM MINDS is a great song lyric-wise. Yeah, I read somewhere that she based the lyrics from the script, just like she did with Synchrogazer. Synchrogazer's lyric was written after she got the Symphogear script according to her blog.

I just started Wild Arms 1 today due to my incessant and unnecessary need to play as many video games as possible simultaneously :XD I'm in the Sealed Library as Cecilia right now, and I'm liking it so far! The tools system is really fun, as is the crest glyphs. The dungeon in Jack's part was also really fun, I want moooore action-oriented dungeons! It's got such a classic RPG feel to it. The whole thing reminds me of a mixture of Lunar/Lufia II/Golden Sun.
