As a sister thread to the Anime thread, I thought I'd start this one up to cover the rest of the wide range of television there is to binge on! So, yes, sitcoms, dramas, reality TV, basically anything that isn't anime and that you've been watching regularly, post about here. I just finished catching up with Community, which I loooved to pieces for too many reasons. Definitely one of my favourite shows ever as of right now. I'm also on Season 3 of The Guild, which I'm also enjoying for its gamer charm and fun cast, haha. I tentatively started catching up with this season of Modern Family, a show that I really liked at first but grew lukewarm towards in the past couple of seasons, but this season seems okay so far - no better or worse than usual MF fare. Annnnd I've been watching The Mindy Project, though I'm a few episodes behind on this season. I'm also eagerly awaiting the return of a few other shows - namely Parks & Rec, Orphan Black, and obviously Community's next (and possibly final?) season. Tina Fey's new show with Ellie Kemper is also high on my to-watch list, once it airs.

Just finished the first season of Once Upon a Time. I really enjoyed it and I would have been ok to see it end with one season! I hope they can keep the quality in the next seasons.

I finished The Legend of Korra last week. It's an unusual case because I wasn't too fond of the Last Airbender series, but everyone in my friend group watched Korra except for me. When I say everyone, I mean people who wouldn't even dare touch an animated show let alone something with a similar aesthetic to anime. It was baffling to see that. One of my friends, who i trust very much in his recommendations, told me I wouldn't be disappointed. 52 episodes later, I wasn't. If it wasn't for the entirety of the second season, I would've given this show a 9/10 for its absolutely incredible character development throughout the last two seasons. Unfortunately, there were a few problems I couldn't ignore, and so I give Korra an 8. I don't hand out 8's often, either. Also, I was able to sail through the series in a matter of three nights. That's made me feel confident that I can get through other completed shows with many episodes, so I took up starting FMA Brotherhood

I know how you feel about everyone, everyone being into Korra! I feel like I've gotta take it up soon, but tackling The Last Airbender is intimidating because of its length. I know I don't need to watch that first, but I'll definitely have a better appreciation for the world if I do.
I'm on the last episode of Breaking Bad, which was phenomenal and very deserving of all the hype. Damn, that show's been such a roller coaster. I can't bring myself to watch the final episode!
I've also been watching Broad City, which is a fantastic comedy. Very natural, underperformed, surreal, and goofy, while being wrapped up in super tight scripts that are equal parts silly and witty. And Abbi and Ilana's friendship is perfection <3

I feel like certain shows are easier to grow up with and digest critically compared to getting into them later in life. I started watching Avatar when I was like 12 I think and i've been watching it ever since (into Korra), so to have it all culminate how it did was quite beautiful imo.
Whether that makes me less critical of the show isnt that important to me, I still love it xD
I've been watching Revenge, American Horror Story, and PARKS & Recs a lot reecntly

Man, I know it's not the best comedy out there, technically speaking, but Parks & Rec is by far my favourite sitcom. It just has such a special place in my heart <3 Good writing and good values and character development and consistency and a well-established universe and quirky background characters and Aubrey Plaza and Amy Poehler and just ahjkghdgk. That show is pure love.
