Nana's album openers have always been impressive, and one could argue they save the best songs as the album opener. They're always so much different than what you'll find on her singles, especially most recently, with so much effort put into the productions. What is your favorite album opener?
There's also a poll for album closer in another thread

Why do you do this to me... This is... really hard.
And you expect me to pick one?! You must be mad! D:
EDIT: I think I'll have to go with Virgin Code because it's a really good mix of Avalon and Arcadia. I wouldn't mind if they separated the one minute intro into a separate track like Impact Exciter, though.

LOL I thought about giving two choices...but I'm curious what the favorite is, in case I ever recommended just one to a friend.
All of them are amazing...but I'm going to go with Avalon no Oukan for now. I just love how majestic it is and there isn't a second of it where it isn't epic.

This is really hard.
How can you make me pick between Takaramono, MARIA&JOKER and Avalon no Oukan? Especially with songs like Zankou no Gaia on there too. And to make it worse, through the night is my Nana guilty pleasure. ;___;
I'm gonna go for MARIA&JOKER because I love it the most.

Although my favorite song on this list is "Zankou no Gaia", I have to say that in terms of opening an album, I felt that "TIME TO IMPACT EXCITER"/"NEXT ARCADIA" really set everything up the best. It was an experience, and I'm a sucker for instrumental opening tracks that lead into songs. They're like extra hype. Also, I was gonna make this thread but ya beat me to it. Great minds think alike

This is really really hard! It's pretty much a tie between IE and RN's openers... but the combination of TIME TO IMPACT EXCITER-->NEXT ARCADIA just creates so much build-up, so I gotta go with that. I actually wish Nana did more introductions. In regards to choosing one to show to your friend, though, I'd actually probably go with Avalon. It kind of leaves a bigger impression, and is much grander, and shows off Nana's chops outside of the purely J-pop/anisong realm, but IE's opening wins for atmosphere and, as hotorikun put it, the experience.

I think "VIRGIN CODE" would actually be one of my go-to songs for showing Nana off to people. I think it encapsulates her style pretty succinctly. Maybe it's the heavy orchestration and live feel, but "Avalon no Oukan" feels really out of place for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I love it. It's like my...13th? favorite Nana song. But...hmm. I dunno! Something about it feels really unique and different and separate. Does anyone know what I'm trying to say? XD

I definitely do think VIRGIN CODE encapsulates Nana's style better than Avalon, I was just going for the logic that Avalon's less in-your-face with its anisong-ness and therefore may be more palatable xD But then, I guess you'd want to show off her anisong... songs, since that's what makes up most of her discography! Idk, it depends on the friend you want to show her off to!

techno style - orchestral rock style -> VIRGIN CODE techno style - pop classical style -> TIME TO IMPACT EXCITER / NEXT ARCADIA orchestral style -> Avalon no Oukan jazz style -> MARIA & JOKER rock style -> Bring it on! Euro style -> Zankou no Gaia country? style -> Miracle Flight ballad style -> Takaramono hip hop style -> THEME OF MAGIC ATTRACTION / through the night pop rock style -> Love's Wonderland
technically i love most of the latest XD but Love's Wonderland is out of top list, due to the music is too common and not able to give me goosebumps

That's an interesting variety - it's almost like you could make an entire album just out of Nana's openers and still cover all of her strengths!

That would make for one flawless album...
