I suppose so. It also probably makes a difference when you don't see a seiyuu's face and actions.
For me, I first noticed Nana when she voiced Hoshina Utau from Shugo Chara from her insert song Meikyuu Butterfly and grew a little interest. Her voice was distinctly different and I looked her up, but it wasn't until I watched Nanoha that I became a die-hard fan.

^I'd argue that horrible voice acting will very much influence the character, and vice versa. I mean, Kugimiya Rie characters just wouldn't be the same without her voice! But overall, I agree with you, relmy.

^ Pink and black really suits Nana well! I also like the pin-up at the top right, with the boxes in the background and Nana dressed in black and white...sorta reminds me of Vitalization's PV!
I need to update my first post, I've collected a LOT more Nana stuff in the course of a year! Can't believe it was just a year ago!

I didnt know a poster existed of Vitalization like that o.o... it looks nice, damn lol. Same with Supernal Liberty I ordered both so I guess it wasn't a first press bonus or anything

Hey everyone, I'm new here so I'm still figuring out everything, replying on posts and stuff! You can all call me Loro. I may sound a bit shy but I'll try to speak as comfortable as possible. With that being said; OH. MY. GOD. Seeing all this Nana stuff that you guys own, I'm so jealous!
For my birthday this year I got SUPERNAL LIBERTY (CD+DVD Edition) and the Vitalization single which I'm really happy with! In the beginning I thought the single wouldn't be worth it for the price, but my parents said it was okay since it's the only single of the album and I admitted I wanted to have both versions of Ai No Hoshi.
I was so happy when it arrived and I actually shed some tears while unboxing it since Nana's music means so much to me.
I've listened to some of her songs about 4 years ago (Mostly DISCOTHEQUE and Trinity Cross) and really liked those. But last year, I really got more into her music. Ofcourse I'm planning on buying more of her soon!

Welcome, @☾ ℓoro ☽! I'm glad you enjoyed obtaining SUPERNAL LIBERTY and Vitalization. SL has such gorgeous packaging and photobook, it's a must buy in my opinion! Also, I feel like most of us who have a decent-sized collection have been collecting for a while now. For me, I think I bought my first Nana CD in...2010? It was Impact Exciter. So don't worry, there's no rush! Plus, quite frankly, collecting isn't necessary at all. One day, the value of these CD's may be next to nothing, so you should only buy it in the case you described, when you treasure it. I'm really glad that is the case for you EDIT: Well I tried to tag you but I'm not sure how to xD

Thanks for welcoming me, stranger! I'm REALLY happy with my album and single! Incase you are curious about my opinion of the album, I have created a tumblr blog dedicated to Nana, and I've posted a review of SL on there! -> 1, 2, 3 <- I've uploaded the review in three parts, so that I wouldn't spam my followers too much. The first and second links are my opinion about the songs, and the last link is a review of the album overall. (Packaging, quality of box-art and photobook etc.) The only thing I'm a bit sad about is that I cannot really follow the conversation Nana and her manager has at the end of the documentary. I could follow the documentary well up to that point, but my japanese isn't that really well. I just learned basic japanese by reading japanese lyrics of songs. It was cute to see her create that bag though!

So, I realized I never shared my collection. I think that's because i was so impressed with others' collections, and I felt mine was rather weak XD But here's everything! I'm particularly proud of this part! All of Nana's major discography, Live Games x Academy red and blue, Live Diamond x Fever, Live Grace, Live Grace Opus II x Live Union. I'm particularly happy with my first press limited edition copy of ULTIMATE DIAMOND, which was the first Nana release I ever had the pleasure of feeling excited for (and also my favorite thing I own e.e) And this was a gift from a friend--yeah, you heard that right. I'm really grateful for this. Never thought I'd own one. ...with my Live Games x Academy bromides! ...with Len-kun! ^__^ Live Games x Academy -Red- Poster! And one for Live Games x Academy -Blue- Well...

I LOVE WHAT YOU DID WITH THE LIVE GAMES BROMIDE! I never thought of that but it looks excellent! Just curious, how much were the frames/where did you get them from? I might have to do that. I bought some simple poster frame from walmart, but the only thing is Japanese posters seem to have different dimensions than American ones, sadly. I thought about buying frames from Japan, but I'm sure the shipping is ungodly expensive due to the large dimensions. But yeah, your collection is awesome. Is that all her singles?
Oooh and I like how you organized it by album era! SL really sticks out since it only has one single. Do you keep your collection anywhere special?

Sorry to double post...I updated my first post...finally!! It's a pretty big update, compared to what I had their previously (just albums and a few singles/DVD's). Since hot0rikun967 took the time to do it, I figured I should too!

stranger hot0rikun967Holy... guacamole. LOOK AT ALL THESE SINGLES. I'M SCREAMING ON THE INSIDE. SO JEALOUS! Also, just curious, stranger: Why do you own multiple copies of certain albums? Is it because you want a first press edition, but also a later edition? I'm amazed that some of the singles are still in it's package. I would never be able to do that. Also, major inside screaming because of the Thermidor -Vingt-Sept- single and the ULTIMATE DIAMOND INSTRUMENTAL CD. And yes, I am now hundred percent completely sure, I will marry you, hot0rikun967. When my SUPERNAL LIBERTY and Vitalization single arrived, I took pictures while shaking so badly, when they where still in it's package, but then I immediately took it off while tears fell from my cheek from happiness. Some things have happened, and it may be that I cannot pre-order the new album and order it's singles with it... Ofcourse I'll still be trying my best to do so though! I was excited and looking forward to it for such a long time, I won't give it up that quickly!

There's a few reasons why: 1. I try to keep a brand new copy and a copy I can open of every album that means a lot to me. Sometimes her albums go out of print, and then they go up in value a lot and you can't find a new copy easily. For example, I have brand new copy of Hybrid Universe and the Museum, both are worth near 10,000 yen now ($100). I'd never open those. 2. Also, when the new album comes out, I usually order 2 copies because different stores have tokuten (bonuses specific to store) that I want, but you only receive if you pre-order the album. For Supernal Liberty, I wanted HMV and Gamers tokuten of posters, so I ordered a CD+DVD at HMV and CD+Bluray at Gamers. If I didn't like the album, I might sell one of those editions, but I'm in love with the album so I kept the CD+DVD. 3. On Yahoo Japan Auctions, some of those albums were included in the auctions for items I wanted. Like there was an auction for a bunch of posters, that also included all of her most recent albums. That's why I have yet another extra copy of Supernal Liberty, Rockbound Neighbors, Impact Exciter, Ultimate Diamond and Great Activity. I'll sell each of those eventually, I just don't like using ebay/amazon to sell (too many fees and so easy for buyer to scam you). I'd rather sell it very cheap to someone I know. 4. Probably most important: It supports Nana for her amazing work on the album Don't worry if you can't preorder both the singles and albums. Buy what you can afford, you can always order it again at a later time or buy a used copy! I got my collection over many years and patience, and it was really fun collecting each release individually and the memories I acquired doing so, as opposed to buying all at once.
