There are some real visual and musical gems among the videos/musical pieces Nana uses for her concert interludes! This thread is a chance to offer them a bit more appreciation, since they're largely glossed over. So let's get to it!
One of my favourites is the TEAM YO-DA interlude from LIVE CASTLE - the one with Nana as the princess and the dancers as her maids. Aside from Nana being at her most adorable in it, the song itself is disgustingly catchy. I would have a field day if it was ever released as a full studio version!
The 'glee' parody from LIVE GRACE -OPUS II- was also pretty neat - we pretty much got a whole new DISCOTHEQUE PV out of it, and one with an actual story! I'll... keep my opinions on glee to myself, but the use of it in the video was really fun to watch, haha. If that video had been circulated as an alternative DISCOTHEQUE PV, it would probably garner a lot of praise since it has what a lot of people have been wishing for from Nana PVs: a story, multiple scenes, dancing, etc.!
On the musical side, I always really loved how the introduction to SCARLET KNIGHT from LIVE JOURNEY sounded - I really, really wish I had an MP3 rip of that! It was such a great build up to SK. Also, the Violin & Sax Showcase (that's what I have it labeled as - does this song have an actual name?) from LIVE ACADEMY is beautiful. I listened to that a ton after first watching LIVE ACADEMY. It's serene.
So yes, please share some appreciation for these little Nana gems hidden away on her concert DVDs. A lot of them are fantastic!
