I love the band solos, actually. I love feeling like you're getting more of a song you love, like it's an Extended version. Seriously, Nana's band is pretty great on their own, and Nana plays up the Cherry Boys so much and they're such a big part, musically, of her lives that It's definitely unfair to say the WHOLE point of a Nana concert is to see her. I mean, it's obviously the main reason you'd go to one, but it wouldn't at all be the same if it was just Nana singing against instrumental tracks.

^ Yeah lol, what Sai said. I don't find them boring at all... Not like I'm saying i want them to replace Nana or anything but i feel like the band makes her songs better and i like seeing them just up there jamming to a Nana tune while she changes.

The more I think about it, more special effects would be awesome. Like pyrotechnics, different lighting, etc. but I think she'd have to have one hell of a budget to make that happen. MORE pyrotechnics?! I can't think of anyone who uses as many as Nana and does it well, more tends to just come out tacky. I think Nana's been on it with her past few tours, she gets the balance between solo performances, dancers and effects right. Something for everyone. I'd be happy if she just did a tour like LIVE GRACE every year in all honesty, the live Orchestra improved some of her songs beyond belief and really showcased her talents.

^ Yearly orchestral tours? Yes please!
LIVE GRACE had a huge impact on me - there was a period of time where I pretty much only listened to the rips from it. It was almost overwhelming how good it was.

You know, i was about to set up a new thread for this very topic before finding this in the depths of the forum. Elaborate entrances are always awesome: Live Game's spaceship and Live Diamond's MARIA & JOKER theatrical performance were two of my favorite. I love these, and I also love the little mid-concert videos that she does.
I noticed that there wasn't a single post on this thread that related to the songs people wanted to hear! So then, that is my question! In your ideal concert, what are some songs that you want to hear? Maybe they're all your favorite songs or maybe you just love 'em live! Post 'em up!
I would definitely want to here Zankou no Gaia. It's my favorite Nana live song because of the sheer energy of the performance. Nana's always so into it and the crowd interactions are fantastic.
Orchestral Fantasia has this end-of-concert epic sort of feel to it when it's played live (which is why I was surprised as heck when it opened up Live Games). I LOVE this song live, especially when its played up with effects and lighting toward the end of the concert.
POWER GATE is just a staple, so yeah. On that note, ETERNAL BLAZE is also necessary for me. These are pretty much required for a Nana concert. Haha.
JET PARK would be fantastic because it's got that sort of POWER GATE feel while still being unique in its own right. Its super fun, crowd-friendly, and my face lights up whenever I hear it live. RUSH & DASH! for the same reasons.
BE READY! is the ultimate towel song. I definitely would want this played. In fact, I want two towel songs. Give me PROTECTION as well.
Bring it on! is one of those songs that, recorded, I'll only listen to a little bit. But live this song is boss. Live Formula had one of the best concert openings ever with this song.
I luuurv Inside of Mind live. Best live dance song ever! It actually doesn't make me giggle when I see the choreography XD
Justice to Believe is a personal concert favorite of mine. Great crowd-interaction and a great song to show off Nana's vocal prowess. There's a reason it's my 4th favorite Nana song.
UNCHAIN WORLD is so intense live. I thought I was going to explode from the awesome during Live Academy. One of my favorite Nana live performances yet.
Aside from these, which would be essential in my personal concert, I would LOVE to hear these live, too, for various reasons: Tenkuu no Canaria, Etsuraku Camellia, MARIA & JOKER, Thermidor -Vingt-Sept-, Avalon no Oukan, deep sea, Sabaku no Umi, Love's Wonderland, Promise on Christmas, Silent Bible, Polaris, and Heart-shaped Chant. Also, i really wish character songs were more doable, because OH MY GOD The Eternal Diva NEEDS A LIVE PERFORMANCE!!!
So post up the songs you'd want if you got to choose the set list for a Nana concert! I'd love to hear what you guys would pick! =D

Hmm, I feel like I'll just be tempted to put down all my favourite songs if I answer this, so I'll try and give a few reasons why they'd be fun to see performed live, specifically. - HIGH STEPPER is just so much fun live. I loved it at JOURNEY, and Nana pulled off the dance pretty nicely, too. This is one of Nana's better (if not her best) dance songs, so I feel like it'd add greatly to any of her dance segments. - Strobe Cinema, too, but rather than having just a choreography, having a bit of acting in it, too - really playing on the whole "movie star" feel of the song and having some appropriate settings or props to go with it. - Similarly, PARTY! PARTY! playing up the Party theme would be fun too - balloons, streamers, w hatever. - Justice to Believe -Museum Style- should just always be performed with a live choir. Always. This would certainly make an epic opener. - Meikyuu Butterfly always struck me as a "flying" song. Is that kind of weird? :XD I can just so easily see it working with Nana in the air a la Astrogation @ LIVE FIGHTER. Maybe with tacky butterfly wings? That haunting intro would make it a really badass opening song, too. - Etsuraku Camellia with a full array of tradionally-dressed dancers. Maybe carrying taiko drums. I know LIVE DIAMOND's performance had the whole Taiko intro, but I don't think they played a role in the performance itself, and I think they'd be really epic if they did. Also maybe falling flower petals towards the end - like around those two or so lines where the music goes really soft and Nana sounds serene~ - More ray of change because that song is gorgeous. - I may have said this earlier in the thread but I'd love Nana to do medleys! They're always such a fun way to combine multiple songs and really get the crowd pumped. - And finally, I really find myself disappointed with the way Nana ends the main portion of her shows. I always feel like these performances should either be really grand, or REALLY subdued. Having a performance kind of in between the two that doesn't differ at all from the performance beforehand just makes it forgettable. On more than one occasion I've reached the last song in the main setliset (like Don't be long @ Live Games, or Pray @ Live Journey) and didn't realize it was the end at all until Nana left afterwards. I DID like Yume no Tsuzuki @ Live Diamond, for example, because that was really special and sentimental and certainly not forgettable. But if she's not going to go that direction, I really like concerts that end on a high note, with all the dancers and band members out jamming to a REALLY upbeat song, with a lot of energy that everyone gets really pumped by. Otherwise it just seems kind of... lame? It should really be treated like a finale, not like just any other performance that night! ;D

I agree about the endings of the concert. Those should actually be the most energetic, since it is the last song. I'd like for her to have more preludes to the first song in her albums, just like many artists. It makes for a really epic entrance. As for the songs, i'd like Dancing in the Velvet Moon (besides it being my bias, the songs sounds awesome in a big space), Synchrogazer, Avalon no Oukan and, of course, Orchestral Fantasia (with an actual orchestra).
Edit: Also, more lasers and pyrotechnics xD

Justice to Believe is the BEST Nana song and I would be a very very happy fangirl if the MUSEUM version was performed every year ♥
I like to hear her older songs live, most of them haven't aged well in studio form so they sound much better live.

I think flying Nana for Meikyuu Butterfly works perfectly. That would be awesome (wings included)! Also, I love it when Nana plays older songs. Hearing LOOKING ON THE MOON and Daisuki na Kimi e in the acoustic corner for Live Grace was such a treat. I also agree with the concert endings. Live Formula got it right, though. And did anyone else flip out over the string of amazing songs at the end of Live Fever? Crystal Letter > Tears' Night > Orchestral Fantasia > Zankou no Gaia > Astrogation. That was something else...
