lol different company will have different way of marketing, this is King Record, KKP or Egoist is not same company as Mizuki Nana but if you currently unable to buy, theres the....illegal way ^^;; which is downloading the songs lol theres some sites will upload hikarinoakariost.info/ (this may upload on the release day or later) bilibili.com (chinese video site, they might upload the song and also upload nana related TV show must search by 水樹奈々) but when you able to get money on your own, please do support her I see. They have full videos for Shin-Ai, Pop Master and Phantom Minds in the King Records YT page while she has Appassionato and Kindan No Resistance in her official YT page...it's surprising me Yes, I will! ^_^

@ameyh welcome to the boards!
By the way, I agree with you. I think the "short versions" are silly, a way to milk money out of fans. Even though I listen to J-pop way more than Western music, I like that Western acts don't usually do that. And people still buy the song digitally even though it's available on youtube in full length for free. Adele's Hello? All over radio and youtube, and people still bought it and the album like crazy. Anyways, luckily, like you pointed out, some J-pop artists/companies don't do that fortunately.

They should put full versions too along with short versions,maybe not so immediately, but later after the album's released. Helps with gaining more international fans. Bollywood songs do that bc they are OSTs too. It's surprising that they aren't so popular abroad though compared to K-Pop and J-Pop.

It's unrelated, but LiSA's Official YT deleted 'Catch the Moment' You-tube edit version and has the radio-edit one instead T-T
Why do Japanese companies do that T-T

ok, you got to think like a sales man, like how are you going to sell this product
from my understanding (i m very logical person engineer) if you show full ver. of the song, people will just keep looping that video and will never buy, that why Team Mizuki stop uploading full ver. and only broadcast them on TV (pay-channels)
the another edit you talking about is, this is very obvious, another edit is like a bonus video, because is another ver of original, so they really want people to buy it, showing it will make less people buying it for they can watch freely on the youtube or whatever source
that why i recommend to just support them and dont be like those freeloaders, but i understand you dont have the money yet, so you can just do the illegal way XP i was also like that, but now working, might as well support right?
and i dont think this is milking, either way you will support that artist, milking is when putting many ver. of album (to make 1 person to buy them all...eventhough is the same) ballot is another to me milking is when you need to buy many of same DVD/BD/Album/single for whatever reason is is like you can just buy 1 but yet you buying another 1 due oh got different contants or different covers or worst collect all tokuten lol (really got fans buy like 10 same copies just for tokuten lol)

Yes, I remember some CD-maxi releases before with DVD/Blu-Ray stuff and with different covers. But I should say that price of Nana's discography is not so expensive, as it could be. You can take a look on Lantis releases, for example. If you work you certainly will find 50$ in year to buy one her album and some singles. It's the annual fee of my internet access.

Thank you I only purchased Destiny's Prelude, since I liked the A-side more than Testament and I am poor :/ Listening now, and wow Destiny's Prelude is 5 minutes, and has a beautiful bridge and final chorus... Both A sides are a return to classical Nana anisong, but Destiny's Prelude really was special and changes it up. Loved it. My favorite A side since probably Eden! Will give more thoughts once I get through both(all 3) singles ~~~ Overall, both of these singles are very solid returns to form for Nana and I'm glad both of them had three tracks. There was not a track I disliked! Destiny's Prelude: A very typical power pop nana song, with a little edge of melancholy throughout it. As I said earlier, the bridge and production change in the last minute and a half of the track really takes it to a new level! 8.5/10 Invisible Heat: This is the insert song for the Nanoha movie and wow is it good. The intro reminded me of Sacred Force, but its nothing like it once it gets going! The production to me is actually kind of dancey, very J-pop, but also pretty dramatic. This is probably my favorite or 2nd favorite chorus between the two releases. 9/10 Poison Lily: Whoa. Did not expect this production. This is rock-pop nana ala Rockbound Neighbors - Get my Drift? but more powerful vocally and melodically. It's less "catchy", but the song is constantly growing and changing throughout and its fantastic. I have a soft spot for verses that are different not just in pitch and lyrics, but also in structure and melody, and the 2nd verse is a highlight. Instead of the typical bridge - stripped back chorus, we get a sudden stripped back chorus that builds back up and then a fantastic outro! This is my favorite track from this single. 10/10 TESTAMENT: To be honest, I do not love this A side; it is just a bit too formulaic to me... I do really love the strings and the production in the pre-chorus with the strings and percussion switching places, it feels very... church? The bridge + pre-bridge are really nice, almost like Avalon no Ookan a bit, I just don't like the chorus of this. 7.5/10 Across: I had high hopes for this since its for Tales (I really want her to sing an opening theme for a main entry in this series damn it!) but its kind of "meh". The verses are >> the chorus. I do prefer the overall production here to that of Testament other than in the pre-chorus, but its melodically probably the least interesting track amongst both releases. Typical stripped back bridge (there's a few too many of these between these releases!) into initially stripped back chorus that explodes again. 6/10 Phantasm: Uhm, OKAY WHAT? The spoken intro + the trio between the piano, bass, and guitar is absolutely gorgeous. When Nana's vocals came in, I melted. This to me is like a better more interesting version of 7COLORS, its a damn shame its only 3:39. The verses of this are just beautiful and this is the most mid-tempo track between both releases. THE PIANO-BASS in this whole track is just amazingly in sync, its great. The chorus is very - it doesn't hit hard, but its still a hook. The spoken bridge - instrumental interlude is sweet too, and it does NOT lead to a stripped back chorus, which was a nice surprise. 9.75/10 (10 if its chorus hit a little bit harder ~ ) I almost wish this and Poison Lily had switched places, because mood wise and production wise this song is very beautiful and it fits more with Destiny's Prelude, but then I think it wouldn't be as balanced. Best track for me: Poison Lily Most interesting Track: Phantasm Least favorite: Across I think overall, these are some of the strongest B-sides we've had from a Nana single in a while! I am glad I got Destiny's Prelude over Testament by far, haha.. If I had to pick 2 B-sides to fit onto the next album, it would be Invisible Heat + Poison Lily/Phantasm (Invisible Heat probably will be for sure, since it is a significant tie-in with Nanoha)
