Basically, post your answer to this very simple question: What did you think of ROCKBOUND NEIGHBORS? ;D Be as detailed as you want. I've only heard the single tracks, the preview of Lovely Fruit, and Hoshikuzu Symphony so far (the one track I allowed myself to hear before getting the album, just so I can enjoy it with all the other seasonal songs I listen to in December ). It's REALLY good, imo - super catchy, cute vocals, but not over-the-top sugary. The "choir"-style background vocals were a great touch - but I love how it picks up and turns into such a bright, jaunty tune. The chorus totally has a "magical" feel to it as well - it's all perfect for a wintery song. So that's my first experience with the album, and so far it's a good one. I'm going to be listening to this song a ton

Rockbound Neighbors was really good! It's probably my favourite Nana album now. Even though it has many new songs, the overall sound of the album is more related to 2011, and i have a feeling Scarlet Knight would fit better here than in Museum II. Songs i didn't like: 1. Synchrogazer -Aufwachen form- The first minute or so of the song sounds almost nothing like the original Synchrogazer.I was really hyped thinking that they actually remixed the song a bit more, but when the intro was over, an identical track to the original was playing, only with a bit more bass. Synchrogazer on itself is a great song, but i was dissapointed to hear the same thing as from the single. 2. Darling Plastic It's not at all unique, and sounds very similar to some other songs. The chorus was bland, and i didn't really like it. 3. Happy Go-Round! A clone of Love Brick, with just a bit piano in it to make a difference. My favourites in this album: 1. Crown of Avalon It sounds really unique and epic, with the violins and the medieval theme. This would of been great in Live Castle. 2. Get my Drift? A harder sound that the usual we get from Nana, this song is short, but very well composed, fast-paced and a lot of guitars 3. LINKAGE This one also has a choir behind it, like Hoshikuzu Symphony. If i dare say, it's one of the most rocking songs Nana has ever made. I enjoyed every second of it ^__^

Avalan no Oukan sounds like it should be from Tenpei Sato: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HIjpSRYgP8 I actually thought "huh?! Is this the right CD?" when the song started up. I'll write a proper review once I've digested it all a bit (and got further than the first track!).

I guess i should organize my Thoughts..... 1. Stardust Symphony Its just perfect. Its cute vocals with a powerful song, but its not rock-like or anything, the instrumentals sound very magical, and the background voices are really fitting as well. 1/2 - Tied for First Crown of Avalon - The entire thing is just so mystical and amazing! she hits an amazingly beautiful note around 3:22-3:24 and it just melted me, its catchy in a weird way, and i have a feeling the lyrics are gonig to be super deep, so far ive heard i dont need the crown, and the word Messiah towards the beginning, so guessing i was right about the history being in this song 3. Naked Soldier - Only down side is that its a little short. The instrumentals are rocking and making me want to move along. The verses feature medium ranged notes, followed by the chorus which goes pretty high for Nana and i love it! 4. Linkage - Has the most powerful sustained chorus in a pop-Nana song that i have ever heard. Its amazing, the backing choir just makes it even better! Idk how to describe how amazing this song is. Only reason its not 3rd is that Naked Soldier has a little bit more when it comes to instrumentals+bridge 5. Get my Drift? - I think we've almost all heard this one by now, its fast, catchy, and full of guitars as stated before. Nana's voice just glides over this one so well, i love it 6. Kiseki no Melodia - Its catchy, but almost sad at some points, The opening is very majestic, kind of like Crown of Avalon's entire track... im agreeing scarlet knight would've been amazing on this album as well. 7. Crescent Child - i have a feeling this one is going to be over looked, but i love how powerful nana's voice sounds with the piano here.. 8. Promise - Ballad ranked high for me, especially since im not a fan of Nana's ballads typically, but this one has some energy to it, and her voice is just very clean and beautiful here, its not one of her falsetto-y ballads, like natsu. Not going to cover every song.... basically Top is Stardust/Crown. Bottom is Happy-Go Round, its not even bad, its just really catchy and cute, but i feel like there wasnt much thought put into it at all... Final List 1.Stardust Symphony 2. (/1 Crown of Avalon 3. Naked Soldier 4. Linkage 5. Get my Drift? 6. Kiseki no Melodia 7. Crescent Child 8. Promise 9. Darling Plastic (Yes, i love how mellow it is, especially the end chorus, it gets me every time and its the only song like it on the album for sure to me) 10.STAR ROAD 11. Lovely Fruit 12. Sacred Force - Extended Mix - 13. Synchrogazer Aufwachen form 14. Metro Baroque 15. Bright Stream 16 Happy Go-Round

I shouldn't have said that I won't state my opinions until after some time has passed in the other thread
My first impression is really good. I like all of them except Lovely Fruit. Lovely Fruit isn't even a bad song, I'm just not listening to it because I know that one more listen and I'm gonna have it stuck in my head for the next 3 weeks
Agree with giggle about synchrogazer. The first minute was pretty crazy, thought they were gonna do something with it, but Synchrogazer's awesome so oh well

Next time, I'm ordering overnight shipping. You have all made me seven thousand times more excited than before. Still not listening, though. Wicked ecstatic for Avalon no Oukan and Hoshikuzu Symphony. Gaaahhh.
I wonder how my top 100 list will look after this album...

^^ They Definitely will. many songs in this album are among my favorite by Nana of all time, and ive heard almost all of her songs (ive heard all of her released official songs under Her, just not all of her anime-work and character songs... too many out there that i dont know of)
As of Listening to Sacred Force - extended Mix- again, ive deduced that i think Nana re-sang the entire song, there are minor differences in her voice all throughout, or maybe im just crazy.
Anyone else think so?

Anyone else think so? Exactly, her voice colour is different right from the start o.o Hence the question, why? ._.

It might be easier to re-sing the whole thing than doing cut-and-paste edits.
Or maybe she just didn't like her voice on the day that Sacred Force was recorded

Hmm, yeah, the thing about Sacred Force -extended mix- is quite interesting. Nana-san's vocals do sound brighter and clearer. I'd really like to see a more official/pro point of view statement regarding this. Even if there wasn't any special reasons surrounding it, it was worth it, 'cause the song definitely sounds better this way.
And, very interesting review, I don't agree about quite some opinions though, but of course, still a good review. But there's one thing that I really agree with, and I kind of LoLed when I saw it.
Crescent Child remembers me of school food punishment too! I wouldn't say it exactly remembers me of futuristic imagination, but more of the whole school food punishment's style. I have to add that it's quite good 'cause I like sfp a lot!

I didnt get the reference TBH. I had to google xD It is a good review, but i think he overlooked Stardust Symphony a bit xD maybe because im biased, its just too darn cute - to the point that i might even call it beautiful, and of course its catchy too.
I wish she had re-sung synchrogazer too now xD
